Visiting the United States Mint in Denver, Colorado

Learn the history of the United States Mint and how we produce coins for the American public with a free, guided tour of the Denver facility. Tours are recommended for children 7 and older.

After your tour, feel free to visit our Gift Shop to pick up unique memorabilia.


Space is limited and tours fill up quickly. Reservations are required.

Large Groups (16+): Please complete the Group Request Form to make arrangements.

Please save your reservation confirmation number. You must present this number to enter the tour.

Free Education and Outreach Programs Available

Can’t make it to the Denver Mint? We offer a free speakers bureau to local schools and groups in the community. The programs cover a wide range of topics. We can tailor them to meet your group’s specific interests. To arrange for a speaker, please complete the Education and Outreach Form.

Tour Hours

Days: Monday-Thursday (excluding federal holidays)
Hours: 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes
Note: Please be aware that coin production schedules vary. Coins may not be in production during your tour. Tours may be canceled without prior notice.

All visitors must be at the tour entrance located on Cherokee Street 30 minutes before their scheduled tour time. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Please allow yourself additional time for parking at meters or public lots. No curbside drop-offs or pickups are allowed around the Mint facility.

Security Requirements

All visitors are subject to a security screening, including metal detection and X-ray examination of hand-carried items. The United States Mint reserves the right to deny access to anyone at any time. The Mint does NOT provide storage for any items.
